North Side Foods Corporation Selects Coolearth Software’s Supply Chain Execution Solution to Streamline and Improve its Data Collection and Operations

Coolearth Software announced today that North Side Foods, a distinguished supplier of high quality cooked sausage products, has selected Coolearth’s Whistle Supply Chain Execution solution to streamline and increase efficiencies within its production facilities, while improving overall data collection.

North Side Foods has been supplying customers with premium pork products since 1909.  North Side, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods since October, 1998, currently produces precooked sausage patties, links, and crumbles for the foodservice industry under the Ember Farms brand.  It was the first provider of precooked sausage to McDonald’s Corporation and remains a major supplier.  North Side also packs fully cooked pork sausage patties in two-pound bags under the Smithfield Premium and Gwaltney brands for retail sales.  Because of their commitment to excellence, North Side Foods spent a lot of time evaluating Whistle SCE to make sure that the solution provided enhanced functionality while also maintaining consistency with current manufacturing standards and procedures.
